In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Surely We sent Nuh to his people, saying: Warn your people before there come upon them a painful chastisement. 1 [Noah] said, "My people! I am but a plain warner to you, 2 That you should worship God and fear Him, and follow me 3 Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " 4 Noah said, "My Lord, I have been preaching to my people, night and day, 5 "But all my calling added nothing but to (their) flight (from the truth). 6 And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride. 7 "So I have called to them aloud; 8 "Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private, 9 And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. 10 He will send down abundant rain from the sky for you, 11 and will provide you with wealth and children, and will bestow upon you gardens and rivers. 12 What is the matter with you, [that you fear not Allah (His punishment), and] you hope not for reward (from Allah or you believe not in His Oneness). 13 When He created you by (divers) stages? 14 Behold ye not in what wise Allah hath created seven heavens in storeys. 15 "'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp? 16 ‘And it is Allah Who made you grow like vegetation from the earth.’ 17 Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction. 18 And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse, 19 So that you may walk upon its spacious paths.' 20

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
