No, by the moon! 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 about the sinners. 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
