He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 To him you give attention. 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 and who has fear of God, 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 Exalted and holy, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 with darkness overspread: 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
