Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know all that you do: 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
