The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the bright forenoon, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
Almighty God's Truth.
