'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 Make my task easy 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 and let him share my task 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
