The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin. Those are the signs of the Koran and a Manifest Book, 1 a guidance, and good tidings unto the believers 2 Those who establish regular prayers and give in regular charity, and also have (full) assurance of the hereafter. 3 We have made those who do not believe in the Hereafter feel their actions appear good to them, so they wander blindly: 4 It is they for whom is the worst punishment, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 And indeed you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), are taught the Qur’an from the Wise, the All Knowing. 6 (Recount to them) when Moses said to his family: "I perceive something like fire: soon will I bring to you some information from there, or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves." 7 So, when he came to it, he was called: 'Blessed is he who is in the fire, and he who is about it. Glory be to God, the Lord of all Being! 8 O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 9 Cast down your staff' And when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned about retreating, and did not turn back. 'Moses, do not fear, indeed the Messengers do not fear (when they are) with Me, 10 Neither he who has been unjust, then he does good instead after evil, for surely I am the Forgiving, the Merciful: 11 "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." 12 Then when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is clear magic.” 13 And they persisted in rejecting them wrongfully and arrogantly, while in their hearts they were convinced of their truth. Observe, then, how evil was the fate of the evil-doers. 14
