T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
