Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
