Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
