Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 and raised couches, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 and arranged cushions 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves - 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
