Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
