Believers, do not consume usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear Allah, in order that you shall prosper. 130 And guard yourselves against the fire which has been prepared for the unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the apostle, haply ye may be shewn mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten for the pardon of your Lord, and for Paradise extending over the heavens and the earth, laid out for those who take heed for themselves and fear God, 133 Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). 134 who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God, and pray forgiveness for their sins -- and who shall forgive sins but God? -- and do not persevere in the things they did and that wittingly. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath,- an eternal dwelling: How excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive)! 136 There have been examples before you. Journey in the land and see what was the fate of the liars. 137 This is an explanation for mankind, a guidance and an advice to the pious. 138 And do not be negligent nor grieve – it is you who will be victorious if you are believers. 139 If a wound has befallen you a similar wound has already befallen the people who are opposed to you. We make such movements to men in turn so that Allah might mark out those who are the true men of faith and select from among you those who do really bear witness (to the Truth): for Allah does not love the wrong-doers, 140 And that Allah may prove those who believe, and may blight the disbelievers. 141 Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who struggled and who were patient? 142 You used to wish for death before you met it, so you have seen it while you were looking. 143
