The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Such are the inheritors 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
