The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
