And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
