NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 Cast ye twain into Hell every person rebellious, contumacious. 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
