The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 by the night when it approaches 17 The rising dawn, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
