The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is torn apart, 1 and obeys its Lord as it must, 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty, 4 and obeys its Lord as it must, 5 O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But he who is given his Book from behind his back 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 And enter into burning fire. 12 He lived rejoicing among his people, 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 That you will climb from stage to stage. 19 But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 Hence, give them the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come] 24 except to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for theirs is an unfailing recompense. 25
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
