The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
