It is God who has created ears, eyes, and hearts for you. Little are the thanks that you give. 78 And He it is Who multiplied you in the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered. 79 It is He who gives life, and makes to die, and to Him belongs the alternation of night and day; what, will you not understand? 80 Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Say: "To whom does the earth and whosoever is upon it then belong, if you know?" 84 They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?" 85 Say: "Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?" 86 They will surely say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not, then, fear (Allah)?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “Then by what magic are you deceived?” 89 We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood! 90 God has not begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Had this been so, each god would have taken away what he had created with him, and some would have risen over the others. God is much too glorious for what they attribute (to Him)! 91 Knower of the unseen and the seen, Exalted is He above that which they associate! 92
