The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
