Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a high Garden 10 hearing there no babble; 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
