The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
