At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 "We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt; 63 "We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth. 64 "Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered." 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the town came rejoicing. 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They answered: "Have we not forbidden thee [to offer protection] to any kind of people?" 70 [Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]." 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 and so We inflicted Our retribution on them. And behold, both these [sinful communities] lived by a highway, [to this day] plain to see 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
