He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 That we may exalt You much 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
