Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 They say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
