Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who fears to stand before his Lord are two gardens. 46 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 47 With spreading branches. 48 Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 49 therein two fountains of running water -- 50 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 51 Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 Reclining on carpets whereof the linings will be of brocade; and the fruit of the two Gardens shall be near at hand. 54 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 55 Therein are maidens who restrain their glances, whom neither human nor jinn have touched before. 56 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Could the reward of good be aught but good? 60 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 61 And besides these two other gardens -- 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 65 In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance: 66 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 In them are good and beautiful women - 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 73 Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;- 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets. 76 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Glory. 78

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
