The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations). 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
