Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 and the severally severing 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
