Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble, writers 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
