Al-Bayyinah
Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters would never leave off; till the Clear Sign came to them, 1 an apostle from God, conveying [unto them] revelations blest with purity, 2 holy Book which contain eternal laws of guidance. 3 Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them. 4 And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the right religion. 5 Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. 6 [And,] verily, those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds - it is they, they who are the best of all creatures. 7 Their recompense with their Lord shall be Gardens Everlasting, whereunder rivers flow - as abiders therein for evermore. Well-pleased will be Allah with them and well-pleased will be they with Him, that is for him who feareth his Lord. 8
