Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
