Al-Anbyaa' 4 of 7

Say: 'Who shall guard you by night and in the daytime from the All-merciful?' Nay, but from the Remembrance of their Lord they are turning away. 42 Can their gods protect them against Us? Their gods have no power even to help themselves, nor are they safe from Our retribution. 43 We allowed them and their fathers time to enjoy till the very end of their lives. Do they not see Us advancing into the land, reducing its frontiers? Would they still prevail? 44 Say thou: I only warn you by the revelation; and the deaf hearken not unto the call when they are warned. 45 And if a breath of the torment of thy Lord were to touch them, they will say: woe unto us! we have been wrong-doers. 46 We shall maintain proper justice on the Day of Judgment. No soul will be wronged the least. For a deed even as small as a mustard seed one will duly be recompensed. We are efficient in maintaining the account. 47 In the past We granted to Moses and Aaron the criterion (for judgment), and a Light and a Message for those who would do right,- 48 Who are fearful of their Lord inwardly and dread the Hour. 49 And this is a blessed Remembrance that We have sent down; so are you now denying it? 50
