And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
