The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 "This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!" 21
