The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
