T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
