The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Book luminous. 1 A guide: and glad tidings for the believers,- 2 who establish their prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and are certain of the Everlasting Life. 3 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter – We have made their deeds seem good to them, so they are astray. 4 They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. 5 (Muhammad), you have certainly received the Quran from the All-wise and All-knowing One. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came close to it, a call was sounded: "Blessed are all who are within [reach of] this fire, and all who are near it! And limitless in His glory is God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!" 8 O Moses, I am that God, the mighty and all-wise. 9 “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness; a sign among the nine signs towards Firaun and his people; they are indeed a lawless nation.” 12 But when Our Signs came to them, that should have opened their eyes, they said: "This is sorcery manifest!" 13 And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly! 14
