Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
