The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
