The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 these are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
