1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
