And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
