Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
