The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
