The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 What is your opinion regarding him who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
اقرأ القرآن الكريم كله ملونا بالكامل، حيث تولد ألوان وأشكال الصفحات بشكل عشوائي تماما بحيث لا يتكرر التركيب نفسه مرتين.
Read the entire Holy Quran in full color, where pages randomly generate their colors and shapes so that the same scheme never repeats twice.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
Click or tap the small triangles above and below the frame on the left to display the Juz Table of Contents where you can go to any Juz, Hizb, ¾, ½, ¼, or any page within.
