The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
