Al-Hummazah
The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
