Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
