We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night.
